A new year with new beginnings is how 2016 is unfolding for me. I feel so passionately about how powerful the role of nutrition is in our lives, and every time I share information with people in my community and with clients I experience a deeper sence of peace (happiness), purpose (direction) and resolve (commitment) to live healthy.
Most people have some perspective as to why living healthy can be challenging, but to really understand what factors are contributing versus causing a diminished state of health takes some specific detective work. Discerning why we don’t feel vibrant, or why we feel exhausted by our daily responsibilities, or why our food doesn’t make us feel good can be overwhelming which can then keep people stuck doing the same things and eating in the same way.
When consulting with people about nutrition I aim to disillusion diet myths and simplify how to increase nutrient dense foods which can have theraputic benefits. I also aim to help people overcome obstacles and blindspots that are keeping them from implementing practicle powerful changes that will make them feel better, stronger and happier.
I’m really looking forward to teaching a series of Nutrition Essentials Workshops starting Monday, February 1 2016 at Sierra Athletic Club. The workshops teach core concepts about how to create healthy eating and lifestyle habits that can reduce and reverse signs and symptoms of digestive distress and diminished health.
